Water and soil utilization solutions as an answer to the massive increase in global population and in demand for fresh food from plants and livestock, are to be presented by hundreds of firms from around the world at the "Agro-Mashov 2011" - the central meeting point of agriculture in Europe, Asia and Africa
During the last twenty years the international "Agro-Mashov" agriculture exhibition in Israel turned into the central and most important meeting point for the members of agricultural industry from Europe, Asia and Africa, who would arrive to Tel-Aviv for two days of fascinating meetings with the pivotal players in world's agriculture, with the purpose of finding solutions to the problems currently facing farmers, merchants and entrepreneurs operating in this field (Israel Fairs Center, 2-3 march 2011).
Israel's unique geographic location at the meeting of three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa provides an ideal rendezvous point for guests from all over the world. The central platform offered by the current "Agro-Mashov" exhibition would bring together approximately twenty thousand guests, from 50 different states, arriving in their quest for agricultural technologies that may solve the problem of shortage in water, food and land, the world faces today.
The rapid increase in world's population, parallel to changes and increase in global population that consumes meet instead of vegetarian food, and the expanding allocation of land reserves to the production of "bio-diesel" in the recent years led to constantly widening shortage in water and land resources, which in its turn spurred the global quest for knowledge-abundant solutions for smart exploitation of the scarce resources at human disposal. Since the 1950's the agricultural industry in Israel successfully introduced advanced methods of maximal land utilization even in extreme weather conditions. The utilization of saline and recycled water and modern irrigation solutions including dripping and trellising-using growing consolidated Israel's position as a world's leader in modern agricultural technology and were recommended by the UN for worldwide utilization. Israeli farmers also scored formidable achievements in the area of biological pesticide and organic agriculture. Together with the spearhead of Israeli agricultural technology, the 21th "Agro-Mashov" exhibition, features hundreds of international companies offering worldwide solutions for crop increase and advanced exploitation of the available agricultural territories anywhere.
All these presenting companies at the international "Agro-Mashov" exhibition are the basis of concurrent world agriculture in its search for solutions and satisfying of the ever increasing demands of the world's market and in provision of solutions for the central problems the world of agriculture faces today. The list of international brands to exhibit at "Agro-Mashov" this year includes: John Deere, Bayer, HCR Seeds, De Ruiter Seeds, Messy Ferguson Tractors, New Holland, Case, Pure Line Seeds, Kaneko Seeds, Takada Seeds, Monsanto, Zata Seeds, KEKKILA, Agresco, Carmel, Jaffo, Origin Seeds, Deshanim-Israel and many other international brands.
Governments and organizations across the world invest hundreds of millions of dollars per annum in agricultural R&D with the purpose of matching the increasing need to feed more and more people in each successive year. Together with the increase in quality and level of life comes the increasing demand for agricultural produce. This January, companies from across the world would exhibit the solutions supposed to aid those looking for ways to increase their crops through significant saving in irrigation water and growth areas. Beside these companies, the exhibition allocates a central part to firms offering solutions for exploitation of agricultural areas for production of green and alternative energy. The "Agro-Mashov" in Tel-Aviv is the natural meeting place of the modern world's global agricultural village, with the purpose of serving as a strategic rendezvous point for growers, developers, producers, buyers and researchers.
