Livestock branches convention celebrates its third year** Changes in consumption of food from livestock would be at the center of this year event

29February - 1 March  2012, Tel-Aviv

In the recent years, millions of people have joined the circle of consumers of food from livestock. This increase amounts to hundreds of percents each year and new food-consuming markets are opening for growers and marketers in the Far East and other countries. Changes in global consumption habits are the main topic of interest at the Livestock Branches Convention scheduled to take place for the third successive time, parallel to the Agro-Mashov Expo that celebrates 22 years of activity at the world's hub (Israel Fairs & Convention Center, 29 February - 1 March  2012).

The Israeli branch of cattle farming is one of the world's leaders, whether in milk production and in the high technological level of all dairy farms in Israel. This year, as part of the Convention and Expo, the presenters include leading producers and suppliers from across the world in the area food and cow mixes institutes, veterinary products, pest control and sanitation, food additives, cooling and heating, structures, breed betterment and fostering alongside with equipment and control. The participants would also present solutions for utilization and exploitation of sewage and organic waste for bio-energy production – a new and fascinating field that attracts not only livestock growers, and increases the farmer's income while decreasing the gas emission and helps to preserve the environment.

The pivotal events in the livestock branch take place at the annual convention of livestock branches in Tel-Aviv. Two years ago the "41 years of the most beautiful Israeli cow contest" were celebrated, at which dozens of cows from all over Israel were evaluated by an expert committee with the purpose of finding the best and most productive cow. Last year the convention focused on the revolutionary plan of improving the immunization system of the Israeli Holstein cows without decreasing their milk production, by using cross-breeding with the Montébeliard bulls from France and NRF bulls from Norway – breeding that alters dairy farms in Israel and across the world. This year as well the convention's organizers invest great efforts in preparation of a unique topic relevant to changes and developments in the branch. The list of familiar international companies and brands includes: Zucani - Poultry Experiment, SAE Afikim, Fibro, New Mix, Volvo Tractors, Bosch, Rotem – control and management, Munters, Kaco, Tostado, Gehl, Facco, GCI, Space Ray Heating Systems and many others.

Nor only dairy farmers would attend the international event in Israel at the meeting point of the three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa. Delegations and visitors from across the world are expected in the areas of chicken coops, incubation, bees, horses, pigs and even growing of animals in zoos. As usual, a place of honor is reserved to academic researchers and of course to the representatives of the commercial market – the buyers. The increase in number of consumers to be fed with food from livestock opens a window of business opportunities for the participants attending the 2012 Agro-Mashov Expo, offering the chance to promote the branch and forge enduring worldwide business ties.
